In 2006, the concept and benefits of Alternative Risk Transfer was presented to André Ferreira. This brief introduction led us to investigate the possibilities further and we soon realized that ART can be of great benefit to our clients and ourselves. After a lot of research and analysis we finally came to the conclusion that the business world is moving in the direction of self insurance and we want to part of this movement. In fact we want to be a driving force in this movement.

André Ferreira
André Ferreira, has more than 17 years experience in the financial industry. Before joining Alternative Risk Solutions in April 2009, André gained substantial experience at Old Mutual, ABSA and as an independent financial advisor. His professional qualifications include a B. Com degree (University of Stellenbosch), as well as a Certified Financial Planning certificate (University of the Orange Free State). He is a member of both the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) and the Independent Portfolio Managers (IPM).
He owns golf clubs and enjoys the outdoors.
DIRECTOR
Gerrit van Rhyn
Gerrit obtained a B Accounting degree in 1985. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1993, he established Van Rhyn & Co Inc. After seven years, he moved to the United Kingdom and joined Feltons as Audit Manager in August 1999. He left Feltons to establish Exceed UK in London and in 2004 was appointed Group Director of Exceed. Gerrit is head of Tenk Loubser & Associates Cape Town
DIRECTOR
Dirk Koegelengeberg
Dirk is a qualified chartered accountant with a B.Compt (Hons) degree from UNISA. He has also completed the University’s Management Development Programme. Before joining the Exceed Group, Dirk gained wide-ranging experience at, inter alia, the South African Medical Research Council, PricewaterhouseCoopers (Namibia) and AST Namibia. Dirk is head of Tenk Loubser & Associates in Somerset West.
